This class is a great starting place for anyone new to Pilates who is in good physical condition. I'll talk you through the classical mat exercises, demoing the movements as necessary, so you get the maximum benefit of each one without the risk of injury. At the end of each class, you'll be standing taller, feeling looser in your low back and hips, and you'll have truly found your core strength. STRETCH & STRENGTHEN
In this class series, we'll move through the beginning and intermediate Classical Pilates exercises, with a focus on stretch and strength. You'll practice dynamic stretches to nourish and limber your muscles, and increase your reps to build muscle endurance. This is a great class for anyone wanting to ease muscle tightness, lengthen their backs at the end of the work day, and build the core strength needed to move with confidence and coordination. PILATES & SCULPTING: MAXIMUM MUSCLE TONE
You'll begin each class on the mat with the best of the Classical Pilates core exercises, then move to standing exercises to target hips and glutes, and finish with upper back and shoulder strengtheners. We'll use props such as hand weights and the magic circle to ensure you see the biggest gains in muscle tone. Beginners and those new to Pilates are welcome to join in! Fridays at 9:30am ET. INTERMEDIATE-ADVANCED: PILATES VARIATIONS
Each week of this eight-week series, we'll highlight one exercise to explore, moving through the original (archival) version as conceived by Joseph Pilates and the (classical) variation made popular by his apprentice Romana Kryzanowska. Mastery of intermediate Pilates is required, but the differen variations will be thoughtfully explained and demonstrated. I'm so excited to welcome you to my home studio, featuring a Balanced Body Wall-Mounted Springboard with arm springs, leg springs and a rolldown bar; a Gratz low mat and spine corrector for classical floor exercises, and a Gratz Wunda Chair. By investing in private sessions, you'll have the opportunity to work on authentic Pilates equipment, which will give you a foundation for the more challenging mat exercises that you can practice at home by taking my online group classes. Private sessions are a fantastic way to start your Pilates journey, and are great for Pilates enthusiasts who want to take their practice to the next level.
